Your data, handled with care.

This Privacy Policy explains how Hingfluence ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA"). It applies to hingfluence.com and all tools we operate on it, including the Insurance Portfolio Score and the Singapore PR Score, as well as personal data we receive through our advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram).

1. Personal data we collect

  • Contact details: your name, email address, country code, and mobile number when you submit a form, book a consultation, or create an account
  • Assessment answers: information you provide in our questionnaires, such as age, family situation, employment, income range, existing insurance coverage, and immigration pass details
  • Documents: insurance policies you choose to upload, plus the fields we extract from them
  • Account data: your email and display name if you sign in with email or Google
  • Booking details: appointment date, time, location preference, and any notes you add
  • Payment records: confirmation of payment processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number
  • Technical data: device, browser, and usage analytics collected through Google Analytics (Firebase)

2. How we collect it

  • Directly from you, when you fill in a form, complete an assessment, upload a document, book an appointment, or contact us
  • Through Meta Lead Ads: if you submit an instant form on Facebook or Instagram in response to our advertisement, Meta transmits the details you entered (such as name, email, and phone number) to us
  • Through Google, if you choose to sign in with your Google account
  • Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies described in our Cookie Policy

Where we receive your personal data from Meta, we handle it under this Privacy Policy from the moment we receive it. Meta's own handling of your data is governed by Meta's privacy policy.

3. Purposes of collection, use, and disclosure

  • To generate and show you your assessment results and reports
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request
  • To contact you by phone, WhatsApp, or email about the specific services you expressed interest in, where you have consented
  • To schedule, confirm, and manage consultations and appointments
  • To process payments and issue receipts and refunds
  • To maintain, secure, and improve our website and tools
  • To measure the performance of our marketing campaigns in aggregate
  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests

4. Consent and how to withdraw it

We collect your consent before or at the point of collecting your personal data, for example through the consent checkbox on our forms or the declarations in a Meta Lead Ads form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing support@hingfluence.com. We will process your withdrawal within a reasonable time, inform you of the likely consequences, and stop the relevant use or disclosure of your data. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide certain services to you.

5. What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone
  • We do not disclose your details to insurers, brokers, or other third parties for their own marketing without your consent
  • We do not use your uploaded policy contents to build advertising profiles about you
  • We do not store your session in localStorage; account sessions are kept in memory only

6. Disclosure to service providers

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under obligations of confidentiality and protection:

  • Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Storage, Analytics) for hosting, data storage, sign-in, and analytics
  • Stripe for payment processing
  • Meta Platforms, to the extent needed to run and measure advertising campaigns
  • Professional advisers or authorities where required by law or to protect our legal rights

7. Overseas transfers

Your data is primarily stored in Google Firebase infrastructure in the Asia-Southeast region. Some of our service providers, such as Stripe and Meta, may process data outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred overseas, we take steps required under the PDPA to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to that under Singapore law.

8. Protection and retention

Data in transit and at rest is encrypted. Access is restricted to personnel and automated systems that need it to provide the services. We retain personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law. If you hold an account, you can delete it from the Account page, which erases your stored data. Lead and consent records are retained for a reasonable period for audit and legal compliance, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

9. Your rights: access and correction

Under the PDPA, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask how it has been used or disclosed in the past year, and request corrections. Write to support@hingfluence.com and we will respond as soon as reasonably possible. We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests where permitted by the PDPA.

10. Do Not Call (DNC) registry

We only send you telemarketing messages or make calls to your Singapore telephone number where you have given us clear and unambiguous consent, for example by ticking the consent box on our forms or submitting a Meta Lead Ads form that states we will contact you. You may opt out of such messages at any time by replying to the message or emailing us.

11. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security, analytics, and advertising measurement. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to manage them.

12. Children

Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Data Protection Officer

Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at support@hingfluence.com for any question, complaint, access request, correction request, or consent withdrawal. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) of Singapore.

14. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the date below. Material changes will be highlighted on the website, and account holders will be notified by email where appropriate.
