What is the Singapore PR Score?

The Singapore PR Score is a free educational self-assessment that helps you see, in two minutes, how your Permanent Residence profile looks across the factors most often discussed in publicly available ICA and MOM material: length of stay, type of long-term pass, employment and income, age, education, family ties and integration into Singapore.

It is not an official ICA score. It does not guarantee approval and it cannot replicate the official assessment. Use it as a structured way to understand your own profile before deciding whether to apply.

Who this is for

Foreigners currently in Singapore on long-term passes such as Employment Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Student Pass or Dependant Pass who are considering Permanent Residence.

How it works

You answer eight short multiple-choice questions. Your answers are scored by a public framework that references factors commonly cited in ICA and MOM material. Your readiness summary appears instantly in your browser.

What the score means

A higher score suggests your profile is broadly aligned with the factors typically observed in successful Singapore PR profiles. A lower score points to areas worth strengthening before you apply. The score is directional only.

Limitations

ICA holds full discretion over PR applications. No third party, including this tool, can predict the official outcome. Your actual application may also be affected by factors not captured in eight questions.

What it does not do

It does not submit a PR application on your behalf. It does not provide legal or immigration advice. It does not collect sensitive identification documents.

Next step

Use the assessment to understand your profile. If you decide to proceed, refer to the official ICA Permanent Residence pages for the most current requirements and apply directly through ICA.

Common PR Weak Areas

Know what tends to hold applications back

These are the areas the assessment looks at most carefully, so you know where small improvements can make a real difference.

Short stay history

Profiles without enough years on a long-term pass tend to be reviewed more cautiously.

Income below benchmark

Lower or unstable income relative to industry norms can weigh against an application.

Limited Singapore ties

Few family, community or long-term commitment signals make it harder to stand out.

Unclear future plans

Without a clear long-term plan in Singapore, profiles can come across as transient.

FAQ

Common questions about the Singapore PR Score

Plain answers in simple English, written for clarity rather than persuasion.

What is a Singapore PR score calculator?

A Singapore PR score calculator is a free educational tool that turns your profile into a readiness indicator. It reviews factors commonly referenced in publicly available ICA and MOM material, such as length of stay, type of long-term pass, employment, income, age, education and family ties, and presents a structured snapshot of your Permanent Residence profile. It is not an official ICA score and does not guarantee approval.

Does the score guarantee PR approval?

No. The score is an educational readiness indicator only and does not guarantee approval. ICA holds full discretion over every Permanent Residence application and considers many factors that are not disclosed publicly. No third party, including this tool, can predict or promise the official outcome.

What affects PR approval?

Approval is influenced by factors commonly discussed in ICA and MOM material, including how long you have stayed in Singapore, your type of pass, employment stability and salary, age, education, marital status, family ties to Singaporeans or PRs, children studying locally, CPF and tax contributions, community involvement and overall long-term commitment to Singapore. ICA assesses each profile holistically and considers undisclosed factors.

Does salary matter for PR?

Salary is one of several factors often associated with PR readiness because it signals economic contribution and stability. A higher, stable income relative to your industry can strengthen a profile, but salary alone does not determine the outcome. ICA assesses your complete profile, so other factors such as length of stay, family ties and integration also matter.

How long should I stay in Singapore before applying for PR?

There is no fixed minimum stay that guarantees a stronger application, but profiles with a longer continuous stay on a valid long-term pass are generally reviewed more favourably. Many applicants consider applying after they have built a stable employment record and demonstrated commitment to staying in Singapore. Refer to official ICA guidance for current eligibility.

Why do PR applications fail?

Applications are commonly weakened by a short stay history, income below industry norms, limited ties to Singapore, incomplete or missing supporting documents, and unclear long-term plans. Because ICA exercises full discretion and considers undisclosed factors, even well-prepared profiles can be unsuccessful. Strengthening weak areas and preparing complete documents can improve readiness.

Is this tool connected to ICA?

No. This tool is not connected to, affiliated with, or endorsed by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority or any Singapore Government agency. It is an independent educational resource. Always rely on official ICA channels for the latest Permanent Residence requirements and to submit your application.

Is the assessment free?

Yes. The assessment and your readiness summary are completely free. There is no credit card required and no obligation to take any further action.
