Cookies, explained simply.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function, remember preferences, and measure usage. Similar technologies, such as software development kit identifiers and tracking pixels, serve comparable purposes.

• Strictly necessary: Firebase Authentication uses identifiers to keep you securely signed in during your session. Without these, sign-in and account features cannot work.
• Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (via Firebase Analytics) sets identifiers to help us understand aggregate usage, fix bugs, and improve the Services. Data is reported to us in aggregate form.
• Payments: Stripe sets cookies on its checkout pages to process payments securely and prevent fraud.
• Advertising measurement: when you arrive from our advertisements on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), Meta technologies may be used to measure campaign performance. Meta's use of data is governed by Meta's own cookie and privacy policies.

• We do not use cookies to sell your data
• We do not use your assessment answers or uploaded policies for behavioural advertising
• We do not store your application data in localStorage or sessionStorage; your data is stored in Firebase

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in and other core features from working. You can also opt out of Google Analytics through Google's browser opt-out tools, and manage advertising preferences in your Facebook and Instagram account settings.
